Terms of Use
AI NoteTaker · Last updated October 21, 2026
Agreement
- By creating an account or using AI NoteTaker (the “app”), provided by Lancaster Digital, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy.
- If you got the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies. Where these terms and Apple's EULA conflict, these terms apply to the extent permitted.
Plans and subscriptions
- Free: the Auto AI model, meetings stored for the device that recorded them, and up to 300 minutes of transcription per calendar month (UTC), plus a daily chat allowance.
- Premium: all AI models offered in the app, cloud sync of meetings and chats across your devices, cloud backup of recordings and higher limits. Premium is sold as monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscriptions through the App Store (iPhone, iPad, Mac) and on our website through our payment processor, Stripe. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial; you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- App Store: payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase (or when the free trial ends). Web: payment is charged to the card you enter at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends at the then-current price.
- App Store subscriptions are managed or cancelled in your Apple Account settings, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Web subscriptions are managed or cancelled in the web app (Settings → Manage Subscription); contact us about refunds. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Limits and the list of available models may change; we will not reduce what a paid period already includes.
Recording and consent
- You are responsible for getting any consent the law requires before recording a conversation, and for telling participants when they are being recorded.
- You keep ownership of your recordings and content. You give us permission to process them only to provide the app to you.
Acceptable use
- Don't use the app to break the law, infringe others' rights, record people without the consent the law requires, or harass anyone.
- Don't try to bypass plan limits, access other accounts, overload the service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
AI output
- Transcripts, summaries, titles, speaker names and chat answers are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important before relying on it.
- AI output is not professional (for example legal, medical or financial) advice.
Availability and liability
- The app is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service; keep your own copies of anything critical (you can export meetings to CSV).
- To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Legal & Account → Delete Account). This deletes your data as described in the Privacy Policy It cancels a web subscription immediately but does not cancel an App Store subscription.
- We may update these terms; we will show the new date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
